Project overview
In partnership with the Brazilian construction group Camargo Correa, S.A., Vialpa worked with HIDROCAPITAL as executing entity for the Ministry of the Environment on the construction and maintenance of internal access roads and site terraces for the temporary facilities of the Cuira River Dam, as part of the Tuy IV project. The work includes the expansion and construction of a treatment plant and several social-impact projects in the area of influence, all with national engineering, over an approximate execution period of six months.
The Challenge
Build and maintain the internal access infrastructure and site terraces for the temporary facilities of a major dam, coordinating execution under an international partnership structure with Camargo Correa, S.A., within an approximate six-month timeframe.
Vialpa Scope
Construction and maintenance of internal access roads and site terraces for temporary facilities, expansion and construction of a treatment plant, and social-impact projects in the area of influence of the Cuira River Dam (Project Tuy IV).
Engineering / Construction Approach
Execution in partnership with Camargo Correa, S.A., combining Vialpa's local experience in roadway and earthworks infrastructure with the capacity of an international construction group, under the coordination of HIDROCAPITAL as executing entity for the Ministry of the Environment.
Operational Constraints
Work contracted in May 2011 for 69,559,000 bolívares, with an approximate execution period of six months and national engineering.
